Die Singleauskopplung Bongo Bong (der Koenig der Bongo) verschaffte Manu Chao entgueltig internationalen Durchbruch und Aufsehen in der europaeischen Musikbranche. Da es dem Kuenstler jedoch nicht um Ruhm und Ansehen geht, tritt er mit Radio Memba teilweise unter anderen Namen auf, um Medienrummel zu vermeiden.
